"What attracted me to Talea is the limited menu. The home made gnocchi with Cavolo Nero (Lacinato Kale) are very tasty and also nutritious. The "chocolate souffle" is actually a lava cake but I believe it is made in house because the quality of the cocoa used was exquisite. The wine is what one would expect to find in a suburb of Berlin (not bad not great). I would award 5 stars had there not been two mishaps. The first is they serve veal. I think that in a menu that has only 4 or 5 mains there is no need to include a dish that involves unnecessary cruelty to baby cows. The second is the "olive oil" is in the best case scenario expired olive oil mixed with other oils. I feel it is unfair to keep unhealthy oils on the table as these are often harmful to people's health (especially to old people and children with weak immunity). It would be much better to offer a genuine extra virgin olive oil (cold pressed with a clear certificate of origin) for a fee. The bread which was fresh and tasty would be enjoyed much more if that was the case."
